What this site does

PickingScope serves articles and illustrations. This release has no accounts, newsletter forms, advertising pixels, embedded YouTube players, or site analytics scripts. Site search filters an article list in your browser; it does not send your query to a search service.

Hosting and requests

The deployment is prepared for Cloudflare. When the site is hosted there, Cloudflare processes network request information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the site according to its service configuration and policies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

We do not currently configure an application database to store reader profiles or search histories.

External links

Links to manufacturers, merchants, video platforms, or other sources take you to independent websites. Their privacy policies apply when you visit them. This release uses ordinary outbound links without an affiliate tracking tag.

Changes

We will revise this notice if we add forms, analytics, affiliate tracking, or other features that materially change data handling. Last reviewed October 9, 2026.
